momordica charantia is aplant that is used by people to treat various diseases such as diabetes medication, heart, abdominal pain, and other. in this research, momordica charantia fruit pulp extraction with methanol and then fractionated with n-hexane. in the n-hexane fraction of the separatin and purification by using column chromatography and recrystallization to produce pure compound were characterized by FTIR spectroscopy with a spectrometer, proton NMR spectrometer and carbon NMR spectrometer. based on IR spectrocopic analysis of the isolated compound hexane fraction obtained from the isolated compound is an aliphatic compound, has a double bond (characterized by the absorpstion bands at wave numbers 3400 - an ). based on the analysis of proton NMR spectroscopic data, compound fractions C2-1 and C11-2 is the same compound. from the analysis of 1H NMR spectra and 13C NMR- assisted approah to ethnabotany suspected this compound is acompound that is derived terpenoid aglycone triterpene kukurbitan types thst do not hsve carbonyl compond.
